Haosong has founded and served as the artistic director of Born Drama Studio (www.borndramastudio.com), an associate member of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, member of East West Players (L.A.), and finalist at The Actors Studio (NYC). Mr. Haosong Yang has currently served on as acting professor and faculty member in Acting Department at Communication University of Zhejiang (浙江传媒学院) in China. He has worked with Dr. Brian Rhinehart at The Actors Studio MFA Program at Pace University, and Barbizon Model & Acting Agency in New York. He was the former head of acting at American Hollywood Film Academy in L.A., founded by the renowned Chinese female writer 冰人. He used to work bi-coastal in acting with both BroadWe Arts Company and Disney ABC Casting Workshop.
He has taught workshops such as Acting in Style, Auditioning, Monologues, and Scene Study for people who prepare to apply BA/BFA/MA/MFA auditions. Besides, he also offers on/offline classes at academic institutes internationally. His students who have been instructed successfully entered well-known drama schools including Juilliard MFA Drama Division (Final Week), Central Academy of Drama in Beijing, Actors Studio MFA AT Pace University, New York Film Academy and others. He trained in Commedia dell'arte with Tim Robbins and Cynthia Ettinger at The Actors’ Gang and trained as a clown teacher with Christopher Bayes (Head of Physical Acting at Yale School of Drama), alongside Shakespeare acting with James Kerr (Director at Royal National Theatre). He has studied with Susan Aston, Jacqueline Knapp, Carol Rosenfeld, Lenard Pepit, and at William Esper Studio, which gained a variety of teaching and acting methods such as Lee Strasberg, Meisner, Stella Adler, Uta Hagen, and Michael Chekhov. He has trained with Anne Bogart (Columbia University) and Ellen Lauren (Juilliard) at SITI Company in Viewpoints, Suzuki, Contact Improv and Devising. Credits include Dog Sees God, The Bear, A Doll's House, Long Day’s Journey into Night, Glass Menagerie; Luna (WBs.), The Leftovers (HBO).
